Everything began when my husband Joakim and I bought our dog Mercedes in April of 2009. She was then only eight weeks old, and a gorgeous little mixed breed girl. That´s her and me on the picture on the right. We couldn’t find a harness that fit her, so I started to think about how I could make a dog harness. I had never done it before so it became quite the challenge.

Joakim and I developed quite a few ideas and worked together many late nights with everyhing involving starting a business.

It took tree years to develop and design the Metizo harness. It became a new kind of ergonomic dog harness with two possible points for attaching the leash. (Read more about the Metizo harness under ”Products”.) The Metizo harness is a trademarked design in Norway and the EU.

That is how Metizo Dezign came to be in April of 2012. In October of 2013 it became an incorporated company (AB for short, in Swedish). 

The word Metizo is derived from the names of the three dogs we had when we started the business:  Mercedes, Destiny and Bonzo. Unfortunately, Destiny is no longer with us, but we kept a puppy girl from her last litter who we named Metizo.

So who am I?

I am an innovator, designer and a woman of many ideas! When it is possible I manufacture my products myself.  All my life I have been creative and made most of what one could do whith a pair of hands, a sewing machine and a lot of imagination.

I am still full of ideas, one better than the other. There is always a lot going on, so keep an eye on our web page or Facebook page!
